These pictures show Frazier Mountain (center) and Tecuya Ridge (right) from a Tejon Ranch site at 6,000 feet, overlooking Lebec and the I-5. The top shows the pollution originating in the San Joaquin Valley and piling up against the mountains, then pushing into the I-5 Grapevine corridor. The freezing winter photo shows crystal clear air, Lumsden says, when woodburning in the Mountain Communities would be at its maximum, but the skies are clear. [photos by Jim Lumsden]
