• The Pine Mountain Bistro Forum is 2 p.m. in the PMC Condor Room to discuss Bistro Task Force proposals to save over $275,000 and break even.

THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT ‘Le Faucon Magnifique’ a murder mystery dinner with five courses in five acts is 7 p.m. Tickets are $32.50 and are available at The Falcon’s Nest and The Mountain Enterprise. • A Holiday Faire and Festival of Lights Parade planning committee meeting is 5–7 p.m. at Caveman Cavey’s Pizza. Come help plan the fun and activities at this annual mountain tradition. Holiday Faire will be Saturday, Dec. 2, noon-6 p.m.

• Operation Christmas Child is collecting shoebox gifts for children in need around the world November 13–20. Bring items to the Lebec Community Church from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 4 p.m.

Ongoing and Upcoming

• A Thank-A-Vet Art Card Project at the Frazier Park Library runs through Saturday, Nov. 11. Families are invited to come create cards for local veterans during regular library hours.

• The Holiday Faire and Festival of Lights Parade is coming up quickly, Saturday, Dec. 2. Applications for vendors (due by November 15) and the Festival of Lights Parade (due by November 30) are available now at mymountainchamber.com. Anyone can join the parade, so apply today!

• The Toys for Tots and Gifts for Teens program is starting at the Family Resource Center (FRC). Deadline to sign up to participate is Monday, Dec. 4 at the FRC. Donations will be accepted until Wednesday, Dec. 13. See story on pg. 12 and locations of collection boxes on pg. 6 of the print edition.

* The Annual PMC Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony is Friday, Nov. 24 with hot chocolate, Christmas cookies and caroling in front of the clubhouse at 5:45 p.m. The lights go on at 6 p.m.
