•Work of HeArt Gallery (3011 Mt. Pinos Way, FP) displays ceramics, glass and paper art and is open every Tues.–Sat., 11–3 p.m. until Christmas.

•Los Padres National Forest officials seek public comment on its proposal to reduce the size of its Santa Ynez (including Mt. Pinos) standard amenity recreation (SAF) fee area. Submit comments by Jan. 6, 2014 to Tamara Wilton, CA Recreation Resource Advisory Committee (twilton@fs.fed.us.)

Friday, Dec. 13

•Watch a test drive of a Samsung Galaxy, iPad, Kindle Fire and Nook HD at the Holiday Tablet Demonstration & Petting Zoo event, 3:30–5 p.m. at the FP Library. Be informed before you make your holiday purchase, while learning how to download e-books and e-audiobooks at Kern Co. Libraries.

•Frazier Mountain Little League says, ‘Be ahead of the curve.’ Enroll your child (ages 4-14) for 2014 play, 5–8 p.m. at Caveman Cavey’s Pizza (3620 Mt. Pinos Way, Frazier Park). Early discount rates apply for December only (T-ball $125; other divisions $135).

•Twelve Angry Jurors by El Tejon and FMHS acting students will be 7:30 p.m. at FMHS cafetorium (700 Falcon Way, Lebec). Free, donations accepted.

Saturday, Dec. 14

•‘Christmas in the Village’ is 12–4 p.m. in Pine Mountain Village. Village Christmas Carolers will kick off the event at 11:30 a.m. Dress as elves or grinch or other fun characters, decorate the giant Christmas tree, sing songs, eat, drink and be merry! Santa wil be there.

•Michi’s Magic Bookshelf Craft Club offers Christmas-themed storytime at 1 p.m. in the children’s area of Frazier Park Library (3732 Park Dr., FP).

•Gallery Opening Party for Mountain Youth Photo Contest will be at 5 p.m. at the Frazier Park Library. with refreshments and gallery showing. Winners will be announced. Contestants, family, friends and the public are invited.

•In the Wings performance team dances at Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield to ‘Run, Run Rudolph’ at the Condors’ game intermission, 7 p.m.

Monday, Dec. 16

•Frazier Park School kindergartners perform their Christmas program at FMHS (700 Falcon Way, Lebec) at 6 p.m.
