Special Senior Hours During Covid-19 Social Distancing

UPDATED: New temporary hours
Frazier Park Market: Doors are opened 10–11 a.m. for seniors 65 and over, and those with special needs. They are then open 11 a.m.–9 p.m. for all other customers. Employees and shoppers are asked to please abide by the 6-feet-apart social distancing guidelines.
Dollar General: Doors are opened 8–9 a.m. for seniors and those at risk. They are then open 9 a.m.–9 p.m. for others.

• Senior Sack provides healthy food staples, 10 a.m. at Frazier Mountain Park Community Center. Eligible seniors (with an annual income below $15,000) may register once for $2, then may pick up sacks of fresh food twice a month (2nd and 4th Wednesdays) of fruits and veggies, bread, boxed staples and canned food. To observe social distancing, a new protocol will be followed: claim numbers will be given to recipients, who will stay in their vehicles. Pre-packed boxes will be carried to the parking lot and numbers called out. Recipients will load their boxes into their cars themselves. Please stay at least six feet apart to maintain social distancing. There will be no entry into the building. Let’s all stay healthy!

SOME GOOD NEWS!• The Internal Revenue Service has implemented a 90-day extension for payment of federal taxes, due to the Covid-19 crisis. You must still file by April 15. California has extended filing/paying 60 days, to June 15.
