Tickets are $9; visit ff.hrw.org/film/possible-selves to purchase and to RSVP for today’s panel event.

• URGENT Community Call to Action for veterans of foreign wars: Turn out for VFW meeting at 10 a.m. to help save our local Post 9791 (VFW Hall (612 Canada Trail, Frazier Park). The VFW has been a dynamic force for community-building in these mountain villages, raising college scholarship funds for local students, helping fellow veterans in times of need, and coordinating local Memorial Day and Veterans Day ceremonies. The passing of several staunch supporters of these invaluable programs has dealt a crippling blow to the local VFW post. It is poised to close, and this is expected to be their final meeting… unless there is unexpected turnout—a new generation of veterans of foreign wars, to carry the torch forward?

• Frazier Mountain High School’s FFA craft fair and baked goods sale is 10 a.m.–2 p.m. inside the FMHS gymnasium (700 Falcon Way, Lebec). Vendor spaces are $25 each; student spaces are free. Interested vendors should contact Lee Bizzini through Facebook.

• A Craft Show to benefit Friends of the Library is today, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Interested craft vendors are encouraged to visit the library for more details and to sign up. Friends of the Library is a non-profit organization that supports many of Frazier Park Library’s activities.

• Learn about horses and archery at a Confidence Building Clinic, 10 a.m.–3 p.m., at Hidden Creek Ranch (343 Lockwood Valley Road, Maricopa). Horses, helmets and equipment will be provided. No experience necessary. The cost is $100 per person, for ages 8 and up. Tickets can be purchased through the Hidden Creek Ranch Facebook page or contact Heather Lomax, 661.319.2644 or heather@hiddencreekranch.com.
