• Friends of the Library Used Book Sale is 11 a.m.–6 p.m., at Frazier Park Library. Today and tomorrow (9 a.m.–5 p.m.) the sale is open to everyone—members and non-members. And remember, children who come always receive a free book of their choice!

* The St. Patrick’s Day Party with live music from Meridian is 5 p.m.–9 p.m. at the Condor Lounge in PMC (2524 Beechwood Way, Pine Mountain Club). Celebrate the luck of the Irish with a special menu of corned beef, cabbage and potatoes.

• It’s Green Beer tonight for St. Patrick’s Day with live music by Walt & Pam, 6 p.m.–8 p.m. at La Sierra Mexican Restaurant (3500 Mt. Pinos Way, Frazier Park). Enjoy country, folk and rock hits. Brian Bierman plays percussion on the Cajon.

• A free covid-19 mobile vaccine clinic at the PMCPOA clubhouse has been rescheduled to today, 10 a.m.–3 p.m. This event is open to the public (2524 Beechwood Way). Pfizer (available for ages five and up) and Johnson & Johnson vaccines are available, as well as boosters. PCR (polymerase chain reaction) and rapid antigen testing available on site. Minors must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian.

• Friends of the Library Used Book Sale ‘Buck-a-Bag’ day is 9 a.m.–4 p.m., at Frazier Park Library, open to both members and non-members. Children attending the book sale on any day get to pick out a free book!

• A Recycle Rally held by the FMHS Booster club is 9 a.m.–4 p.m. at Midway Market Recycle Center next to Midway Market & Liquor (6032 Frazier Mountain Park Rd.). Recycle cans, plastic and glass bottles from your St. Patrick’s day party. Proceeds support the FMHS Booster Club.

• Live rock, pop and country music with Jack Lelah is 6 p.m.–8 p.m. at La Sierra Mexican Restaurant (3500 Mt. Pinos Way, Frazier Park). – CANCELED.

• Come do your part to save lives: Houchin Blood Bank returns to the PMC Clubhouse parking lot, 10 a.m.–2 p.m. Blood donators will receive a pair of Houchin Blood Bank socks, while supplies last.

• Kern Fire Safe Council with FEMA: Community Wide Webinar on Resiliency is 5 p.m., with Intergovernmental and Congressional Affairs Specialist Christian Erikson and Vincent Martinez, Regional Preparedness Liaison. RSVP at www.kernfiresafe.org.

• Kid’s Korner, a new program hosted at Frazier Park Library is every Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. (3732 Park Drive, Frazier Park). Activities can include arts and crafts, homework help, science experiments, games and more. This program is intended for after-school fun with kids ages 7 through 12.

• Gather your icky stuff to dump at the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event, Saturday, March 26, 9 a.m.–1 p.m., Lebec Transfer Station (300 Landfill Road). Bring all the toxic things and take this opportunity to clean out old winter items and welcome spring.

• Basket Weaving class is at Ridge Route Communities Museum & Historical Society, Saturday, March 26, 10 a.m.–12 p.m., conducted by Bonnie Kane (3515 Park Drive, Frazier Park). The cost is $20 per person and includes all necessary materials. • Learn to shoot a bow from horseback with a Confidence Building Clinic, Saturday, March 26, 10 a.m.–3 p.m., at Hidden Creek Ranch (343 Lockwood Valley Road, Maricopa). • Free dental screenings and dental treatment for kids ages five and younger is Thursday, March 31, 12:30–2:30 p.m. at Mountain Communities Family Resource Center (3015 Mt. Pinos Way #201, FP). Children will receive a free screening, treatment, toothbrush and fluoride, and a signed dental form needed for kindergarten registration. Appointments needed to receive services. • The Earth Organization hosts ‘How to Make Your World More Fun,’ Saturday, April 2, 2–3:30 p.m. at the Earth Organization in PMC (16215 Askin Dr. Ste. 201, PMC). This event is for students 7-10 years old. Parents are encouraged to attend. Hear wildlife rescue stories and learn how ‘cooperative ecology’ can make life more fun. $5 per student, parents are free.
