Vaccines come to the mountain…and they will be back!

A mobile vaccination clinic arrived at Frazier Mountain Park’s Community Center last weekend, prepared to administer 200 Pfizer covid-19 vaccinations to the people of the Mountain Communities.

A team of five medical workers from Adventist Health Tehachapi Valley’s rural mobile unit set up tables inside the park building Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 26 and 27.

According to reports, many people who had confirmed appointments for Saturday did not come for their vaccinations.

There were about 20 “no shows,” a member of the team said. Meanwhile, some people who went to the park Saturday to see if they might get a vaccine, despite not having confirmed appointments, were turned away.
