PINE MOUNTAIN CLUB (Sunday, May 31, 2015 at 5 p.m.)—A passenger vehicle went over the side of Cerro Noroeste Road at about 2 p.m., several miles south of Mil Potrero Highway, in approximately the same area as another vehicle went over on May 25. Today’s vehicle rolled over and ended up about 1,000 feet down the side. A female in her late 30s was taken to Henry Mayo Memorial Hospital with minor injuries after she was able to climb up the steep slope to the roadway. A dog stuck inside the vehicle was rescued by Kern County firefighters. Towing was canceled as it was determined that a tow truck with that much cable was not available.
