Join in the Wild n’ Crazy Easter Fun

By Linda MacKay

The wild and crazy Frazier Mountain Boys & Girls Club annual Easter Egg Hunt and Barbecue is just around the corner. The Boys & Girls Club Easter Egg Hunt is unique, and it’s an event everyone needs to experience at least once. The hunt starts promptly at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 3 at Frazier Mountain Park.

This fun event only happens because we have many people who volunteer their time weeks in advance to prepare for this special occasion. Several generous merchants donate materials. Volunteers sort, inspect and clean toys for hours in the weeks leading into the event to make sure the children will have a dazzling selection of toys to trade for the bright plastic Easter eggs they find.

After the egg hunt, there will be a barbecue and potluck lunch. Volunteers are still needed to help make this another memorable experience for everyone.

If you can help, please come by the Boys & Girls Club “Name Your Price” thrift store in Lebec, or call Jennifer at 245-2380 or 378-7112. Volunteers can also call Dave “da handyman” at 245-2167 or 369-4105.

Please mark your calendars for April 3. The Easter Bunny himself will be making an appearance along with other special guests.
