Man Arrested for Firing Gun at Woman in Lebec

LEBEC, CA (Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011 at 6 a.m.)—At 4:47 a.m. Kern County Sheriff’s spokesman Marvin Gomez reported that a Lebec man was arrested for allegedly firing a pistol at his wife. This is the report:

On November 29, 2011 at around 1 a.m., Frazier Park deputies responded to a report of shots fired in the 2500 block of Bird Street in Lebec, CA. A victim reported her husband, Samuel Johnson, fired a shot at her from a handgun as she was leaving their residence. The couple had been involved in an argument prior to her leaving. Frazier Park and Lamont Substation deputies, along with assistance from the California Highway Patrol, responded to the Johnson residence to arrest Samuel Johnson for assault with a deadly weapon (firearm). Initially, Johnson did not come out of the residence. After several minutes of announcements by deputies telling Johnson to exit the residence, he complied and came out of the house. Johnson was taken into custody and booked into the Central Receiving Facility for Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Reckless Discharge of a Firearm.
