FRAZIER PARK, California (Monday, April 26, 2010, 5:30 p.m.)—A motorhome went up in flames at the Flying J truck stop in Lebec today.
CHP received a call at 4:52 p.m. about a motorhome on fire at the gas pump at Flying J. The out-of-state Horizon Itasca rig was fully involved in flames at one point before Los Angeles County and Kern County firefighters knocked down the blaze by 5:05 p.m.
CHP officers were asked to instruct Flying J personnel to shut off the gas pumps if CHP units arrived before fire crews.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
