News Update: Full Hearing Scheduled for Frazier Park Estates Development Thursday, Oct. 8

FRAZIER PARK (Monday, Sept. 21, 8:22 p.m.)— The Kern County Planning Department has confirmed that the October 8, 7 p.m. hearing about Frazier Park Estates will be full hearing, not an abbreviated agenda item. Planning Commissioner Chris Babcock was absent from the September meeting. As fifth member of the commission, his vote would have been the tie-breaker. The other commissioners split 2-2 about whether to deny the project as proposed or to send it forward to the Board of Supervisors for ratification.

"Yes, we will be taking full public testimony again. I believe, however, that we will be taking the opposition first after the staff presentation. At least that is what I am recommending to the Chairman," wrote Lorelei Oviatt in response to a question from the TriCounty Watchdogs, according to an email received this evening.
