NRG Solar, LLC is the center of controversy and questions in the West Antelope Valley about “deals” they are said to have made with rural town councils. So far, those deals have not been made public. It was promised in spring that the deals would be public when construction began this summer. That has not yet happened. Now, the company (a subsidiary of NRG Energy, Inc.) will host a community reception on Monday, Sept. 26 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Wee Vill Market to introduce their Alpine Solar Project.
“Community members are invited to ask questions and discuss the impact of the Alpine Solar Project on clean energy, the local economy and quality of life,” coordinator Paulette Rush said, “They will answer all your questions there.”
Wee Vill Market is located at 18348 West Avenue D (Highway 138).
