Snow visitors cause traffic hazard

THE GRAPEVINE, CUDDY VALLEY, LOCKWOOD VALLEY, MOUNT PINOS, FRAZIER PARK, CA (Monday, Dec. 26, 2016 at 2:30 p.m.)—Roads and trails throughout the Mountain Communities are congested with the cars of snow play visitors. Cuddy Valley Road at Darling Avenue was reported to be blocked by vehicles illegally parked in the roadway. California Highway Patrol has been dispatched to ensure that emergency vehicles are able pass through if needed.

Here are some safety tips for snow play tourists issued by the Fort Tejon office of the California Highway Patrol: “If you are coming up to play in the snow, here are a few simple things to keep in mind. Never trespass to play in the snow. Never park your vehicle on a roadway. Don’t let your children play in the traffic lanes. Don’t leave your trash for others to pickup. Please remember, others live here and you are their guests (be courteous).”
