A pickup truck traveling northbound on Interstate 5 Freeway one mile south of Templin Highway erupted into flames which started a thirty acre wildfire. Units from the U.S. Forest Service Angeles National Forest and Los Angeles County Fire Department made quick work of the fire, halting its progress in under two hours on the east side of I-5. No homes were immediately threatened. Helicopters and fixed wing aircraft were on hand, controlling hot spots in dry brush.  The occupants of the vehicle were  uninjured.
