Tejon Mountain Village edges closer to golden shovels in the ground

Tejon Ranch Company is slowly but steadily working to prepare its Tejon Mountain Village project in Lebec for that first golden groundbreaking shovel to be plunged into the earth.

A public hearing will be held Thursday, Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. by the Kern County Planning Commission about proposed Tract Map 7313—which details how the landscape of Tejon Ranch (known to be critical habitat for the severely endangered California condor) will be carved up to create their “luxury resort development.” The hearing (at 1115 Truxtun Avenue in Bakersfield) was announced just before Thanksgiving.
