VFW Post 9791 and the auxiliary gathered goodies and supplies for our “Adopt A Unit” program that we do each year.

Five large boxes were sent to a U.S. Marine Troop stationed in Afghanistan.

Many of the items sent were special requests by these marines. Something simple such as flavors for the canteens and hard candies seems so little to us, but are not obtained easily in a war zone.

We pray for their safe return and for the families who wait for them. –D. Bumgardner
