Big rig fire in Gorman backs up northbound I-5

GORMAN, CA (Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 5:55:10 p.m.)—Lanes #1 and #2 are open, Lanes #3 and #4 are still closed.

GORMAN, CA (Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 4:10 p.m.)—The #1, #2 and center divider lanes are now open.

GORMAN, CA (Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 3:55 p.m.)—CHP reports that the #1 lane and center divider should open shortly.

GORMAN, CA (Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 3:10 p.m.)—A big rig fire has closed the two slow lanes on the northbound Interstate 5 south of the Gorman exit. The big rig caught fire then exploded, igniting nearby grass.
