Local artists and musicians will be on hand for an Autumn Equinox “happening” on September 22—a time to embrace gratitude, embody joy and celebrate… with abandon! Co-organizers Victoria Hungerhurst (of Lake of the Woods) and Elke Heitmeyer (of Frazier Park) invite all ages to participate, to connect, and to celebrate through art, music, performances and food, in the spirit of togetherness.

WHEN: September 22 – 1 p.m. – 11 p.m. (A potluck dinner at 6 p.m. is part of the festivities; please bring a dish to share)

WHERE: Camp Saint Nicholas, 11770 Frontier Road (turn onto Frontier Road from the Mil Potrero ‘Y’ parking lot). $5 admission.

Talents from the Mountain Communities and beyond will gather to share their visual art, interactive art, theater and music. Come play. You can experience such wonders as a green man mask, yarn bombing, a paint war and much more.

Daytime is family-friendly

Bring the kids! There will be healthy food for purchase during the day.
Nighttime is up to the discretion of parents.

• After dinner and a drum circle, there will be an equinox ritual based on the wisdom of the original people of this area, followed by more music and dancing.

• Political candidates are invited to share their visions for our community.
• An open bar is available for those over 21 in the evening.

• All who register to vote may waive the $5 entrance fee and get in for free.
• Kids under 18 are admitted free.

• Please be sure to RSVP! That is important, so we have enough of everything. RSVP by clicking the hotlink at “Autumn Equinox” at www.MountainEnterprise.com.
