A little-known legend dropped into Sue’s Tavern

Word was out Thursday, Sept. 19 that “a guy who’s written songs for Waylon Jennings” was setting up to play at Sue’s Tavern in Frazier Park.

Billy Don Burns performed a set before a small crowd of local residents, strumming an old Gibson acoustic guitar that looked as hard-bitten as he did. They are simple country songs—stories of his life, the lives of others and…(please see below to view full stories and photographs)
