A Ring of Fire: As thousands of acres burn in California, residents and firefighters both stay on alert

Last week a thousand homes and commercial buildings were destroyed in California by the Valley fire in Lake County and it is still not contained. The Rough fire in Fresno County burned 160 homes and threatens Sequoia groves 3,000 years old. Mark Ghilarducci, director of the state Office of Emergency Services says he has not seen anything like this in 30 years.
