School Funding Change: All ETUSD teachers to return, 5th grade still at El Tejon

LEBEC, CA (June 1, 2015 at 8 p.m.)— Governor Edmund G. Brown, Jr. submitted a “May revise” budget to the California legislature that brought good news to the El Tejon Unified School District tonight. The ETUSD board voted to head into the 2015-2016 school year with no layoffs and no combo classes. Fifth graders will still attend class at El Tejon School. The vote in a special meeting of the board was unanimous for “no changes,” despite some reservations by two trustees about the timing of their vote.
