Antelope Valley General Plan Updates Adopted

Antelope Valley Area Plan Update
(Town and Country)

The Los Angeles County (County) Department of Regional Planning (Department) has been in the process of updating the 1986 Antelope Valley Areawide General Plan (AV Area Plan).  This update includes proposed changes to the Land Use and Zoning designations for the Antelope Valley as well as updated Goals and Policies that apply to proposed development.  Also included in the project are associated zone changes and Title 22 (Zoning Code) amendments for consistency with the AV Area Plan.  This update has been ongoing since 2007, and below are major updates on the project.

ANTELOPE VALLEY AREA PLAN ADOPTED

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors (Board) adopted the project on Tuesday, June 16, 2015.
The AV Area Plan is now in effect.
The new zoning and Title 22 (Zoning Code) amendments will be effective in 30 days, or by July 16, 2015.
