The lives of most people living in the idyllic town of Paradise, California, changed in an instant Thursday morning, Nov. 8, when the Camp fire erupted at 6:33 a.m.

The blaze sent thousands running (and driving) for their lives. Some were overtaken by the flames.

As this paper goes to press, 56 are confirmed dead and more than 200 are still missing in Butte County. Over 7,600 homes have burned down in the fire.

Several officials have said that the entire town of Paradise has been destroyed.
