Are you ready for the Holiday Faire?

By Cheryl Smith, TME
This year’s Holiday Faire will arrive December 2 on Mt. Pinos Way. A well-attended event, the Faire is a longtime mountain favorite for kids and adults.

What’s There To Do?
The day starts at noon with food and vendor booths along the main street in the middle of town. There will be entertainment, visits with Santa, a Chill Zone with children’s activities, raffles for a Holiday Quilt, performances by In The Wings Studio of Dance, and the lighting of the Girl Scout Tree.

The Fantasy of Lights Parade will go through the middle of the downtown area!

Parade entries can win prizes for best representation of their favorite Christmas carol.

There will be contests for Best Santa Beard, and for Best Ugly Sweater.

This year, there will also be a Best Ugly Sweater Contest for dogs!

Haven’t Gotten Your Booth?
If your business hasn’t yet secured a booth at the faire, fret not! You can get it done online, right now, at www. mountainmemories.org.

Get a booth for your business, sign up to be in the parade, sponsor the faire—Do it all and complete the transaction online!

The proceeds from the booth sales help the Mountain Memories Association to offer this and other events every year. Mountain Memories is a local non profit organization that brings you multiple events throughout the year. The volunteers are dedicated to providing the community with Holiday Faire, Ridge Route Run Car Show and Fiesta Days each year.

The Holiday Faire is open 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., culminating with the Fantasy Of Lights Annual Parade.
Make an afternoon of it, and finish up with the parade before dropping into a local restaurant for warmth and some dinner!

Santa Claus always spreads his joy throughout the faire, especially for children who light up when they see him. Kids can visit with Santa throughout the day!
