AT&T U-verse goes down overnight—nationwide

FRAZIER PARK, CA (Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013 at 9:12 a.m.)—AT&T’s U-verse internet service went down—nationwide—in the early hours of Tuesday morning, affecting customers in the Mountain Communities through mid-morning. By 8:30 a.m. some customers were regaining their internet services.

According to AT&T spokeswoman Meredith Red, the problems were due to a planned upgrade to the system. “We were conducting a software upgrade with most of the work done in the middle of the night,” she told The Mountain Enterprise this morning. “The work is done and customers’ internet services should be coming back on now.”

Red said that service could be intermittent for a while longer.
