UPDATE LEBEC, CA (Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 5:50 a.m. )—CHP does not report  the back-up between Frazier Park and Gorman this morning at about 4:40 a.m. [See report below.] Mountain Community motorists are advised to approach the Frazier Park southbound onramp cautiously until you can observe that traffic is moving smoothly. Cautious choice is to enter freeway southbound at Gorman for another half hour.

LEBEC, CA (4:50 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2014)—There is a back-up on Interstate 5 southbound between Frazier Park and Gorman. The alternate route is to go south on Peace Valley Road at the east corner of the Flying J instead of entering the I-5 onramp.

Traffic is clear south of Gorman, so the Gorman onramp is a good choice right now. We’ll add information as CHP data becomes available.
