Bakersfield College opens in Arvin

After a long journey, Thursday, February 6 was the ribbon cutting of the Bakersfield Arvin Educational Center in Arvin, CA. The expansion of Bakersfield College into Arvin was made possible due to the passing of Measure J, a bond introduced in 2016 for the purpose of updating educational facilities, upgrading technology, and adding new educational spaces for Bakersfield College. The measure passed and Bakersfield College was awarded over $500 million dollars for these initiatives…(please see below to view full stories and photographs)
