Big rig goes off northbound Interstate 5 near Gorman

GORMAN, CA (Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016 at 4:10 p.m.)—Los Angeles County Environmental Health is enroute, according to CHP.

GORMAN, CA (Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016 at 3:59 p.m.)—A big rig went over the side from northbound Interstate 5 just south of Gorman. Photographer Jeff Zimmerman filed this report:

A big rig has crashed on the north bound lanes of Interstate 5 just below Gorman, approximately 2 miles north of Highway 138. The big rig has gone off the embankment. At 12:34 PM today Los Angeles County Fire Department, Kern County Fire Department, AMR ambulance and CHP responded to the injury accident. The driver was found with moderate injuries and transported by ground ambulance. The right lanes of Interstate 5 [were] closed for about an hour. CHP [is investigating] the cause of the accident.
