CASTAIC, CA (Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016 at 7:45 p.m.)—Two lanes are reportedly open while crews clean up debris from the accident site. No estimate on when remaining lanes will open.

CASTAIC, CA (Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016 at 5:32 p.m.)—A collision between a big rig and an SUV has brought a SIG alert for all northbound lanes of Interstate 5 just south of Vista Del Lago. The SIG alert is in place for an unknown duration, but CHP reports that towing vehicles are estimated to arrive at about 6:25 p.m. CHP reports that one party is trapped in a vehicle.
