Black Coffee Draft House (the restaurant in Lake of the Woods) also has a gourmet commercial coffee roasting operation in Lebec. Business co-founder Jason Mitchell gave his parents and sister tickets to walk the red carpet at the 91st Annual Academy Awards in Hollywood last Sunday (l-r: Marilyn Franklin with parents Clayton and Donna Mitchell). Black Coffee provides the gourmet coffee for Hollywood’s biggest party. “My parents are so excited,” Jason Mitchell reported. “They’ve worked really hard to make this business a success, and they got all dolled up for walking down the red carpet. They are having a great time with this. I’m delighted they can do it…. It is really fun.”
