Body of missing woman, sought locally, found north of Kern County

FRAZIER PARK, CA (Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022 at 7:55 a.m.)—During December, Kern County Search and Rescue teams worked with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office to comb the Lebec, Frazier Park and Pine Mountain Club areas, looking for a person who had been reported missing on December 7.

On Saturday, Jan. 15, the body of Missy Hernandez was found in the California Aqueduct, east of the town of Huron, north of Kern County. The body had been weighted down beneath the water’s surface.  Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims briefed media at a press conference on Tuesday, Jan. 18. The sheriff confirmed Hernandez’ boyfriend, Ramon Jimenez, 41, has been charged with her murder.— By Gary Meyer, TME
