Brainstorm Thursday to update park

Do you enjoy using Frazier Mountain Park? What do you use it for? What would you like to see there?

Kern County Parks and Recreation is holding a community meeting Thursday, July 30, 5:30-6:30 p.m. to gather ideas for a Frazier Mountain Park Master Plan. It will be used to seek grants for developing new features at the park, Kern County Director of Parks and Recreation Bob Lerude said in an interview.

The meeting will be held at the Frazier Mountain Park community building, 3801 Park Drive.

“Any and all ideas promoting a safer and healthier park are welcome. Ideas already presented are a community garden; a giant-size chess set and additional tree maintenance,” Lerude’s staff said. Their invitation adds: “Come to share your ideas about changes you would like to see to make Frazier Mountain Park a safe and fun place for everyone!” —Patric Hedlund
