Lebec resident Kevin McDonnell sent this photo of the July 28 Gorman fire. He said this was taken at 4:45 p.m.
UPDATE–GORMAN, CA (Friday, July 28, 2017 at 5:56 p.m.)—Kevin McDonnell sent additional photos of the fire burning in Gorman, which he said he took at 4:45 p.m. [see photo #4]. “Kern Fire was all over it,” McDonnell said.
GORMAN, CA (Friday, July 28, 2017 at 4:50 p.m.)—A brush fire is burning at the base of an electrical pole on the hillside north of Quail Lake, according to CHP. Traffic on the I-5 freeway is not affected at this time. The fire is burning toward homes located at Gorman Post Road and Edison Teson Mountain Road. Los Angeles County Fire Department and Kern County Fire Department are responding.
