Pastor Rick Rivette this week was asked about a rumor that turned out to be untrue about the Pine Mountain Christian Community Church.

The rumor we were asked to check was whether 14 people from his PMCCC church may have contracted covid-19. Pastor Rivette said their congregation had one couple (two people) who contracted covid “and that is it.” He knows of no others, he said.

The husband in that case told Rivette he believes he contracted it from a silent carrier who did not have symptoms, but was doing construction at their house.

The couple were diagnosed and treated in Los Angeles County. During their quarantine, the church community were supportive to the couple, such as shopping for them and checking on how they were doing, but were careful to leave the bag of groceries outside the door.

Members of the congregation also carefully observed social distancing and hand washing.
