Car Over Side of Cuddy Valley Road Near Tecuya Road, Injuries Reported

UPDATE: CUDDY VALLEY, CA (Monday, Nov. 17, 2014 at 10:10 a.m.) The rollover accident was actually on Cuddy Valley Road near Scott Russell Road. according to a Mountain Enterprise reporter at the scene. This was a single vehicle rollover accident with two injured people. The driver and the passenger are both injured. They were heading eastbound in a dark-green Ford Explorer, but crossed over the westbound lane and went over the side of the road. Several passersby stopped to render aid. According to one helper, there was  a 19 year old man in the car and a woman who mentioned they lost control. California Highway Patrol is at the scene and is investigating the cause of the accident. Medical aid is being provided.

The previous report that the accident was on Scott Russell Road was a dispatch error.

CUDDY VALLEY, CA (Monday, Nov. 17, 2014 at 10:10 a.m.)—At about 10 a.m. it was reported that a car has gone over the edge of Scott Russell Road this morning and that there is an injury. Emergency vehicles are on their way to the location in Cuddy Valley, near Tecuya Road.

Two injuries have occurred in th off-road Tecuya area. It is a dirt road with steep drop offs overlooking Cuddy Valley. The road can become hazardous if the operator of the vehicle is driving too fast. Two previous individuals have been reported injured this fall, both requiring hospitalization (in separate incidents). Both were minors. The drivers were 18 and 19 years old at the times of their respective tumbles down the slopes after missing a curve in the road.
