This weekend brings several opportunities to jump into the holiday spirit.

Christmas tree festival

The tree decorating contest over in Pine Mountain Village is well underway, but you can still grab family and friends to claim a tree to decorate in the village. This Saturday, Dec. 6 is the last day to complete your masterpiece to get in on the competition. Contact Judy Keim to sign up (661.242.0817 or daveandjudy@frazmtn.com). Judging will take place December 7. Go see, and ask for a “people’s choice” ballot.

Frazier Park Carolers

At 4 p.m. Saturday, Christmas carolers are planning to meet in front of Caveman Cavey’s Pizza in Frazier Park. Barbara Edsall said they will meet on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant and walk through the town, serenading local businesses and residents. Everyone is welcome.

‘Crafts Flair’

At 6 p.m. the Artworks Community Gallery in Pine Mountain Village carries on the fun of the Pine Mountain Club Crafts Fair. Co-founder of the gallery, Mike Cram, said the ‘Crafts Flair’ will feature unique, handmade crafts, handpainted furniture, quilts, jewelry and one-of-a-kind artisans’ works. Everyone is invited to the opening reception party.

This is part of the December 5, 2014 online edition of The Mountain Enterprise.
