Caveman Cavey’s Pizza turns 30 — What’s the secret sauce in their success?

Caveman Cavey’s Pizza began serving this community before many residents here were born.

Back in 1991, John Cavey was running his family pizza restaurant in Wasco when a food salesman told him, “Hey, they need a pizza place up there in Frazier Park.”

When Cavey came up to take a look, he and his wife, Anna, fell in love with our little mountain town.

The existing pizza business on Mt. Pinos Way, however, was in serious trouble.

As Cavey describes it today with a laugh, “Let me put it this way—then, you were more likely to get marijuana…(please see below to view full stories and photographs)
