Community in shock as news spreads that beloved Frazier Park water manager has died

FRAZIER PARK, CA (Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012 at 10 a.m.)—Shocked faces and tear-choked voices throughout Frazier Park are greeting news this morning that a beloved member of the community died of a heart attack that occurred in the early hours today. Greg Keenberg is known as a loving father and husband, manager of the Frazier Park Public Utility District (FPPUD).

Keenberg has been a literal pillar of the town. His warm-hearted, dependable presence and sense of humor have been a source of reassurance and confidence in every endeavor in which we have seen him participate. Our grief at this moment is deeply personal. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his beautiful family, to his co-workers at FPPUD, and to members of the Frazier Park community who he served so faithfully. —Patric Hedlund, for The Mountain Enterprise staff
