Dangerous vandalism on Frazier Mtn. Park Road

When Fort Tejon CHP Officer D.C. Williams was asked about reports of rock-throwing vandalism on Frazier Mountain Park Road in Frazier Park, he said, “We’re looking into that, but don’t have any leads. We wish we did.”

Pine Mountain Club resident Izumi Tanaka said she was driving Frazier Mountain Park Road into Frazier Park at the crack of dawn on Tuesday, Jan. 18. She said she had just passed the western intersection with Mt. Pinos Way when “a large object flew down and hit my windshield.”

Tanaka said, “I saw a dark object in [my] peripheral vision coming from the north side of the road, but had no idea what it was. I knew it wasn’t a bird. It was still dark, and I didn’t want to stop, so kept driving.”

As she came to a stop at Monterey Trail, it had become light enough to see the severe damage to her…(please see below to view full stories and photographs)
