Deadline for Centennial Scoping Comments is November 4 at 6 p.m.

Gorman, CA (Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015 at 10 p.m.)—Tonight a meeting was attended by over 80 Mountain Community residents concerned about Tejon Ranch’s proposed Centennial development in Gorman. Written comments can still be made, but the deadline is November 4.

The projected plan for Centennial in 2015 is to build 19,000 homes and a series of commercial-industrial areas along Highway 138 near Quail Lake. The 2004 project plan projected 23,000 homes. The Los Angeles Department of Regional Planning hosted the October 21 meeting to present the Notice of Preparation (NOP) and to solicit suggestions from the public about issues that need to be included in the draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR).

Written comments on the NOP—with your suggestions about what research needs to be completed in the DEIR are solicited. There is a strict deadline for comments. They will only be accepted through November 4, 2015 at 6 p.m. See the Notice of Preparation here.

Send your comments to Mr. Samuel Dea, County of Los Angeles Department of Regional Planning, Special Projects Section, 320 West Temple Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012; (213.974/4876; Fax 213.626.0434; or to specialprojects@planning.lacounty.gov.
