In the October 28, 2022 edition of The Mountain Enterprise, we republished a report from 1970 called “Subversive Literature Found”. This next report, titled “Munition Cache Discovered” was written for the May 5, 1978 edition of TME.

Discovery in Pinon Pines

“Investigations into the person or persons who deserted a cache of highly volatile liquids and a large amount of live and partially loaded ammunition is being continued. The 1978 photo caption reads “This collection of mobile homes was apparently used by a subversive group for the reloading of ammunition and the assembly of explosive devices. According to investigators the buildings have been unused since 1974, but highly explosive containers of ether and a large amount of ammunition were left behind.”
