The sixth annual Frazier Mountain Fiesta Days celebration of 1973 included very special guests: The stars from the TV show, The Waltons.

During the 1970’s The Waltons was an Emmy award-winning historical drama television series based on the lives of a rural family, operating a lumber mill during the second World War and Great Depression.

The series was set in a fictional county in Virginia, but filming took place in Los Angeles and many times in Cuddy Valley, at Cuddy Ranch. Three episodes were filmed in and around Cuddy Ranch and the Mount Pinos Area in 1972, a section of which served as the legendary Walton’s Mountain for the show’s setting and opening shot.
