Early Riders’ procession honors founder’s passing

If you heard the rumbling of a long procession of Harley motorcycles roaring along Frazier Mountain Park Road at 9:30 a.m. Sunday morning, it wasn’t a dream.

Despite the new silence of our coronavirus solitude, 150 people decided they had a mission April 19. They donned their helmets, masks and social distancing protocols, met their police…(please see below to view full stories and photographs)

Joel ‘The Deacon’ Petersen (left) took his last breath Saturday morning, at 81. On Sunday, his son (above, also named Joel Petersen), led a procession from Flying J to Cuddy Valley in his dad’s honor.
