El Tejon School garden needs some Santa Love — Can YOU help?

By Coach Charles Stewart, El Tejon School

El Tejon School is building a garden. We are handy with the shovels and manual labor, but we have an S.O.S. to send out to you in the community.

You can help the school and get a tax write-off at the same time!

ISO Needs—

•Quad or Golf Cart

We need something to drag the fields with and to haul around softball equipment for games here.

If anyone has a quad motorcycle they would like to donate to El Tejon School, we can use one. A golf cart would work too.

•Riding Mower

Do you have a Riding Mower you don’t use anymore? We need one for our new field.

•Gardening Tools

Any extra gardening tools will also be welcomed by our students. They need rakes, even snow shovels and any other kinds of gardening tools will be greatly appreciated.

•Tractor Help

If someone has access to a larger tractor, who would like to come down and move some dirt and sod with us, it would be a great help to our El Tejon School garden area.

Our first big task is to move large amounts of sod in a fenced area about 100 to 200 feet away to another area on campus.

We also had some trees donated to our school that we need to plant.

•Gardening Wisdom

Our goal is to plant a decent number of trees and to get some assistance in the garden as a great project for the kids at El Tejon School to learn how to maintain, cultivate and nurture.

Can you help us with your gardening knowledge?

Our goal is to “Go Green” to help the environment also.
