Eric Futrell Murdered in Bakersfield

The Kern County Sheriff’s Coroners Office has confirmed that Frazier Park resident Eric Nikolas Futrell, 37, died on Monday, May 4, in the 8300 block of Fuller Drive, Bakersfield. He was found suffering from a gunshot wound at 2:16 p.m.

“He was shot by another,” the coroner reports. He received first aid, officials said, but died at the scene. The coroner notes the time of death was 2:36 p.m. Coroner’s Office administrator Dawn Ratliff noted this is a homicide case.
