El Tejon School has been recognized for its outstanding commitment to the community school model and was officially honored at the 2025 California Community Schools Empower Summit. The Central Valley Regional Technical Assistance Center (CV-RTAC) presented the award in recognition of El Tejon’s leadership in implementing the four pillars of community schools: integrated student supports, expanded learning time and opportunities, family and community engagement, and collaborative leadership and practices.
