Kern County Planner Lorelei Oviatt notified the public Monday, July 6 that there will be no extension of the July 13 , 5 p.m. deadline for formal public comments regarding the Tejon Mountain Village draft Environmental Impact Report.

Comments on the Frazier Park Estates’ DEIR are now due by July 20 at 5 p.m.

Only written comments submitted by these dates must be answered by the planning department in the Response to Comments section of the Final EIR.

However, the public may continue to submit comments and Oviatt says planners will answer all comments in their recommendations to the Planning Commission or orally at the hearing. All comments submitted before the final vote by the Board of Supervisors will be included in the administrative record.

Public hearings for both developments will be held before the Kern County Planning Commission on Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009 at 7 p.m. at 1115 Truxtun Ave., Bakersfield, CA 93301.
