UPDATE–LEBEC, CA (Sunday, Nov. 22, 2015 at 1 p.m.)— Coach Sharon Lemburg broke a big surprise this afternoon: The next playoff game will be held here on the mountain, at Frazier Mountain High School, Tuesday, Nov. 24, 7 p.m. Let’s all be there to cheer them on to victory. The match will be against Tarbut V’Torah High School from Irvine. General admission tickets are $9 for adults; students, children (5+ yrs.) and senior citizens (65+) are $5, Lemburg said. Go Falcons!
By the way, here is an explanation of the playoff structure, from Coach Lemburg, now that our local team has won the central division V championship:
State Regional Championships
State is divided into Northern and Southern California with 8 teams in each section for Division V. There are four rounds with each round dropping the number of teams by half. We start with 16 teams in the state. After Tuesday, there will be only 8 teams left. The next game will be Saturday, Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. That game could be home or away and we will not know until Wednesday.
