The Best 4th of July on the Mountain

Do you like things that go bang? The mountain’s only fireworks on the 4th of July are Fort Tejon State Historical Park’s Civil War cannon salutes to Independence Day. Costumed pioneers and soldiers reenact what life was like in an 1856- era frontier party. You and your family are invited to join in the fun from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. [Located in Lebec: go north on I-5, off at Fort Tejon exit.] The cannons roar at noon.
